SNOW ALERTS ALREADY COMING...
So far, NJ Transit has issued a snow alert that says they will cross-honor bus and train passes, and South Mountain YMCA has e-mailed folks that some Saturday events
could be cancelled and to go their Web site to check.

POOL FEE CHANGE AMONG TC MEETING AGENDA ITEMS TONIGHT
The proposal to create a new Maplewood Pool fee for two-person families, which will be $25 less than the regular fee, is
on the agenda tonight as an ordinance on first reading.
TC members also will look at changes to some committees and
the creation of a joint recreation advisory committee with South Orange to replace the current recreation advisory committee.
This could be the first step toward merging our recreation department with South Orange's.

OLD POLICE STATION PLAN ON ZONING BOARD AGENDA
Opponents of the preliminary plan to replace the old police station with housing are taking their case to the Zoning Board
tonight at 8 p.m. at town hall.

on upper floors.

SPRINGFILD AVE. INVESTIGATION
Police blocked off Springfield Ave. from Burnett to Boyden Sunday at about 9 a.m. Police will not say why, just some kind
of investigation.
The same stretch of road was blocked off during the home invasion robbery a week ago. No word
if it is connected.
Sidewalks on the same route also taped off, no pedestrians even allowed. Among those affected is
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1600 Springfield Ave.

new playground there -- and skate park -- but noticed another playground just for the 2-5 set. Another playground was nearby
