After giving the first vote, 5-0, in favor of the housing plan for the old police station site
on Dunnell Road, the TC voted again Tuesday on the plan with another unanimous vote.
Now the negotiations begin and choice of the exact plan.
"The adopted plan permits us to have substantive negotiations with
the developers that submitted letters of interest," Mayor Vic De Luca said after the meeting. "We are far from a
final product and the input from the community has been very helpful. The negotiations will begin this month."
Adds
TC Member Jerry Ryan: "I think it is just the next small step in a long process. I voted for
it so that we could
take the step of beginning to negotiate with developers to see what actual designs and proposals might look like. I'm eager
to see actual designs."
